Three New Pocket Poppet Dolls

Time has flown by, but I at least finally got some pics taken of the stash of Pocket Poppet dolls I've had ready for a while now.

I also made up two dolls from the last pattern I purchased with the button leg joints, the one I can't actually sell.  I did one stuffed with polyester fiberfil, and the other stuffed with pure wool.  I'll get photos of both done hopefully by the end of this upcoming weekend, and do a comparison of working with polyster versus wool stuffing.

But for now, here are three new Pocket Poppet dolls, ready for purchase in my Etsy store.  :)

Quick Update-What's In My Craft Queue This Week

No pics with this post, as I don't want to steal the thunder from the seller of the latest doll pattern I bought.  This one is pretty much all for me, since the seller has stated she does not wish completed items made from her pattern to be sold.  While copyright law doesn't actually cover a finished product from a copyrighted pattern (as far as I understand it, and I'm definitely not an expert), it's not in my nature to try to argue such a thing.  Instead, I will respect the pattern designer's wishes, and just enjoy the process all for myself, and then make the occasional gift, or giveaway item.

The new pattern that sparked my "oooh! shiny!" craftsperson's response is a sweet 9.50 inch tall felt girl.  Despite knowing I won't be able to sell the finished item, I couldn't resist the sweet face, and the promise of button joints.  The purchase price of $10 was worth it, for the clever construction of the body and leg to allow for that button joint, the way the head is attached securely to the body while still leaving a slender neck, and the hair.  I am already thinking I will try to modify the pattern a bit for my use, and make the hair into felt wigs that I can swap out quickly.

The doll pattern is available here:  https://www.etsy.com/listing/179144339/doll-sewing-pattern-vintage-girl-pdf?ref=listing-shop-header-2, from Etsy seller Soles.  She has a cute Retro Girl doll pattern that I may have to buy just for the glasses.  :)

Otherwise I have a new giraffe felt toy pattern in the works right now, too:  https://www.etsy.com/transaction/185170776?ref=fb2_tnx_title from Etsy seller Patchlins.  There are definitely a lot more patterns there I need to buy!  (And I'm allowed to sell the finished items, so woo hoo!)

I am working on a couple of Gingermelon patterns, including a little doll dressed up as a certain grey donkey that many of us grew up with.  I also am nearing the finish line on a pair of Pocket Fox dolls which need custom bride and groom outfits, but those are my weekend project, since I need to concentrate on designing those outfits.

So, no pics, but lots of things in the works!  I'll definitely share pics as I get going on that new doll.  Plus, I will be comparing how polyester fiberfil compares to wool stuffing.  I think this little doll will be a perfect test subject, and then I'll have a pair of dolls at the end!

New Items Listed-Bunnies and Ponies and Dragons (Oh, My!)

Okay, only one pony, but still, I finally got pictures taken of some of my newly finished toys, and have them in my Etsy store.

The little bunnies are just the right size for many sixteen inch fashion dolls to cuddle, and even twelve inch dolls.  Your doll needs a bunny, right?  After all, Easter is coming up!

I still can't get enough of the wee dragons, and will definitely keep making more.  The latest entries are in greens and blues.

The new pony continues the color scheme, in a lovely mint green with teal blue mane and tail.

I have more bunnies to photograph, and Pocket Poppets, but between the paying job, my limited photography skills and rather crummy weather leading to crummy indoor lighting, it will be another few days before I get those needed pics taken.

In the meantime, here are some photos of my latest offerings.

More Wee Dragons!

Because this pattern is so much fun to make up, here are three more done up.  I made up two others, but they already found homes before I posted pics of them here.

It's not quite an army yet, but I do get the impression these dragons are in the planning stages...  :D

These will be up for sale in my Etsy store very soon.  Watch for some sales and promos coming up soon, especially as we approach my favorite holiday of the year, Easter.  (Long story, but it boils down to my parents let me believe in the Easter Bunny instead of Santa Claus.)

And now, back to more photos.  :D

Random Photos-Look At The Wee Dragon!

I still have dolls patiently awaiting shoes, and then a photo session.  I console myself with the thought that this is still January, and I just haven't properly gotten into the swing of things yet.  I do plan to post regularly soon, at least once a week, as well as get many, many more dolls, toys, and fashion doll outfits sewn up and listed.  But that darn day job, the one that I rely on to pay the rent and car payment, and keep the internet on, yeah, that's been pretty busy.  :D

Enough excuses!

On to the latest little creation, and the subject of today's randon photos.

I just discovered another wonderful pattern creator on Etsy, TypingWithTea.

I purchaed her little dragon pattern, and made up my first of what I anticipate will become a tiny, adorable army very soon.  :)

The pattern has lots of pictures to guide you along, and this little guy was made up in a very short time.  The tiny pieces for the spikes, claws, and horns might generate some cussing, mostly from my losing track of them as I go, but they're definitely the key to the cute factor.  I will definitely be going back to try other patterns soon, but I told myself I must resist while I finish up the multiple of projects I am currently juggling.

So for now, here are some pictures.
